Description of Venue: This is an collaborative ambulatory experience around the perimeter of Philadelphia. Each segment will cover ~10 miles of varied terrain.
Accessibility: The perimeter itself has inherent physical accessibility issues, but there are many potential paths to approach it, with different segments having varying degrees of accessibility challenges. Please get in touch if you have any specific questions or concerns.
The walk offers options for participants who only want to walk a half day or a few miles, with different segments having varying frequency of access to public transportation or ease of rideshare pickup. Future iterations of the walk may have additional accessibility resources.
A sustained pace of ~2 miles per hour over varied terrain is expected with breaks."
Additional Details: Expect all of the unexpected surprises that one might expect walking in urban, wilderness or industrial settings. Registered participants will be provided maps, guidelines and a suggested packing list.

Bio: Since its 4-person artist residency origins in 2016, Walk Around Philadelphia has become a pilgrimage experience where hundreds (ranging in age from 12 to 94) have set out to explore the city's perimeter.
